Agricultural raw materials

A careful approach to raw materials and fair relationships with suppliers

Sustainable sourcing of agricultural raw materials

The cultivation of agricultural raw materials requires large areas of land and has a significant impact on people, animals and the environment. This is why we choose our suppliers with care throughout the value chain and ensure economical use of natural resources and a respectful approach to farmers, workers and producers.

Depending on cultivation methods, agricultural raw materials such as palm oil, soya and coffee, as well as peat and food for daily use such as rice, fruit and vegetables, in particular, can have a negative impact on the environment. In order to keep this impact to a minimum, we work with partners to develop and implement solid standards and sector-wide solutions.

Close partnerships and open exchange

Alongside sustainable manufacture, long-term security of the supply of raw materials is essential, which is why we develop relationships of trust with local producers and suppliers. In addition to financial assistance, we also provide support in the areas of CO2 reduction, training and education, health care and infrastructure renewal.
