Partners and stakeholders

We maintain long-standing partnerships and an open exchange with our stakeholders. This collaboration enables us to identify socially relevant issues, build up our knowledge, and develop and implement ideas together.

Thanks to partnerships with organizations such as Bio Suisse, the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), Fairtrade Max Havelaar, Swiss Animal Protection (SAP) and WWF, as well as with our suppliers, we have succeeded in building up and expanding a range of high-quality, sustainable products and making our operational processes more sustainable.

Expansion of existing partnerships

We have been maintaining strategic partnerships with WWF and the Swiss Red Cross since 2015, and also work closely with the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). The first four research projects were launched in 2014 as part of a collaboration between the Coop Sustainability Fund and the World Food System Center at ETH Zurich.

Continuous exchange with stakeholders

Stakeholder expectations and constructive criticism challenge and motivate us to continuously improve. We exchange knowledge and experience with a wide range of stakeholder groups regarding concrete projects and collaboration in working groups and committees, as well as in connection with the annual Coop stakeholder forum.

First green conference

In 2014, we held a large-scale conference on the topic of “Creating sustainable added value together” with our business partners with a view to implementing new ideas.
