Guidelines on our own-label sustainability brands and quality seals

With our own-label brands such as Naturaplan, Naturaline, Oecoplan, Pro Montagna and Ünique as well as the Naturafarm quality seal, we offer a comprehensive range of products with particularly sustainable additional benefits. Especially strict requirements apply to our own-label brands, which are monitored both internally and externally on a regular basis.

Naturaplan guidelines

Ever since the launch of Naturaplan more than 20 years ago, we have been working closely with Bio Suisse, the umbrella organization of Swiss organic farmers. All Naturaplan products are produced in a particularly natural, humane manner and processed using methods that alter them as little as possible, in line with the strict guidelines of the Bio Suisse Bud label. With Naturaplan we aim to offer the most extensive range of organic products in Switzerland and thus maintain our profile as the most reliable sales channel for Swiss organic farmers.

Naturafarm guidelines

The Naturafarm quality seal is used on meat, meat products and eggs produced according to clearly defined guidelines under particularly animal-friendly conditions. The animals’ well-being is the focus of farming and husbandry. Stringent regulations apply to our Naturafarm quality seal that go well beyond the Swiss Animal Protection Act, and Naturafarm farms are inspected regularly and without prior warning by Swiss Animal Protection (SAP).

Pro Montagna guidelines

With our own-label brand for products from the mountains, we are also able to offer our support for the maintenance of a sustainable mountain economy in Switzerland. The raw materials for these products must come from the mountain regions and also be processed there. Part of the revenue from every Pro Montagna product goes to the Coop Mountain Areas Sponsorship Programme, thus furthering the development of the mountain regions.

Oecoplan guidelines

For over 25 years now, Oecoplan has been offering environmentally friendly products and services for the home, office and garden. The focus in the Oecoplan guidelines is on the responsible use of resources such as soil, water and air, as well as on social requirements for production. Within the framework of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), we arrange for our suppliers and manufacturers in high-risk countries to be inspected by an independent body. Products demonstrate clear environmental added value for customers.
