The Coop Sustainability Fund operates as a central instrument for promoting innovation in the sphere of sustainable consumption and for raising public awareness. The Sustainability Fund enables Coop to initiate innovative solutions in socially relevant and environmental areas and thus to promote pioneering services in the field of sustainability. Some notable examples are the research projects in organic agriculture, the development of environmentally friendly production methods, CO2 offsetting projects, awareness-raising projects such as exhibitions and creating new ranges of sustainable products and services. Coop invests 15 million francs each year through the Sustainability Fund, as well as supplying personnel, valuable partner networks and structures and communication tools.
