Developing a toolbox with organizational, technical and analytical options for further improving the protection of organic products with respect to authenticity (2014).

Naturaline CO2-neutral

Partner: Remei AG | Climate-neutral production of Naturaline organic cotton textiles and organic cotton-wool products by reducing CO2 emissions and offsetting unavoidable CO2 emissions via projects along the value chain (2009–2013). Project objective successfully achieved in 2013.

Ginning of Biore organic cotton

Partner: Remei AG | Support in acquiring a new cotton gin system for organic cotton (2014).

Fairtrade Water Project

Partner: International Development Enterprises (iDE) | Improving the living conditions of Fairtrade (FLO) farmers and their families in Central America by increasing water efficiency using cost-effective drip irrigation systems and planting vegetables for crop diversification (2010–2014). This project provided support to over 6,000 families and nearly 2,000 Fairtrade farmers.

MSC-certified yellowfin tuna

Partner: WWF | Start-up funding to establish sustainable methods of tuna fishing in the Philippines for freshwater-fish sales in accordance with MSC guidelines (2010–2012).

Sustainable roses from Kenya

Partner: University of Leicester | Establishing an infrastructure and training the population in sustainable water usage for the production of Fairtrade Max Havelaar roses on Lake Naivasha, Kenya (2011–2013). Project objective successfully achieved in 2013.

Reduction of concentrated feed and minimization of antibiotics in dairy farming

Partner: FiBL | Fundamental research on impact of rearing cattle with feed containing minimal levels of concentrated feed and antibiotics on animal health, ecology and product quality (2003–2012).
Result: It is possible to not use concentrated feed without any negative impact on animal health or profitability.

Alternatives to fish meal for feeding in sustainable aquacultures

Partner: FiBL | Producing feed for sustainable fish farming that is nutritionally optimized but does not impact marine resources (2009–2013). Project objective successfully achieved in 2013.
