The Board of Directors of the Coop Group Cooperative has nominated Joos Sutter, currently Chairman of the Executive Committee, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors for the attention of the Delegate Assembly in spring 2021. In May 2021, Philipp Wyss will take over as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coop Group Cooperative.

He will continue at the helm of Transgourmet Holding AG until further notice.
Further changes on the Board of Directors
Doris Leuthard has been proposed to succeed Irene Kaufmann as Vice-Chairwoman. Irene Kaufmann will retire next spring after twenty years on the Coop Group Board of Directors. At the same time, Peter Eisenhut, Roman Kuhn and Hans-Jürg Käser will resign for age-related reasons. The new members of the Board of Directors – in addition to Joos Sutter – will be Grégoire Ribordy, CEO ID Quantique SA, Michael Fuhrer, CFO Hänseler AG, Karim Twerenbold, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Twerenbold Group and, as the employee representative, Markus Beer, Head of the Coop Bakeries Specialist Unit.
