Comments: The name Emmental originates from the Emme Valley. The River Emme flows through around two-thirds of the Canton of Bern. Smooth to fine paste, ivory or pale yellow in colour depending on the season. Avg. 48% fat in dry matter. The aroma ranges from mild to distinctive depending on the age profile. All have the unmistakable aroma of Emmentaler. Uses: In cold and hot dishes: e.g. for a boiled meat & cheese salad, country-style cheese tarts or any kind of cheeseboard.
