Nostrano Goat Cheese

The inside of Nostrano goat's cheese combines the best of the goat's milk from Ticino. This full-fat semi-hard cheese is produced using pasteurized Swiss goat's milk. It has a mild flavour and a characteristic goat's milk aroma and works beautifully with other cheese varieties to create an impressive cheeseboard for supper or dessert.
Nostrano is a vegetarian grey mould goat's cheese made with microbial rennet.
Origin: Switzerland (Ticino)

Sensory characteristics

The ripening period takes 60-180 days. During this time, the pasteurized goat's milk forms an elastic, almost creamy paste with a unique goat's milk aroma and a grey rind, which is so characteristic of grey mould cheese.

Allergies / special diets

By using microbial rennet from natural fungi, Nostrano goat's cheese is 100 % vegetarian. As it only contains small traces of lactose, it is considered lactose-free.
