More than three million people living in Switzerland suffer from food allergies or intolerances. This is why we rely on the Swiss Allergy Label for special products and work together with the aha! Swiss Allergy Centre.
This independent quality label was developed in 2006 by Service Allergie Suisse in close cooperation with the aha! Swiss Allergy Centre. It offers added value in terms of safety and information as the food and items bearing this label undergo additional inspections and are independently certified.
Products for allergy sufferers
Our supermarkets sell a wide range of products from own-label brands Free From, Qualité & Prix, MyBaby and Qualité & Prix Well, which are certified and bear the Swiss Allergy Label. We have developed a reliable labelling system with quality labels for food and non-food products. The system offers simple guidance on the allergens contained in each product and makes shopping simpler.
The Swiss Allergy Label is awarded in accordance with a specific certification process and with the involvement of independent authorities. The process is as follows:
A technical commission assesses whether a product is certifiable and meets the requirements.
Medical specialists decide whether a product is suitable for allergy sufferers and delivers added value.
Scheduled and unscheduled inspections by independent and recognized certification bodies check for compliance with the requirements.
