Apple sauce
  • 500 g apples, cored, cut into pieces
  • 0.5 dl water
  • 1 tbsp ginger, coarsely grated
  • 0.25 tsp bourbon vanilla powder
  • 1 lime, use only half of the juice
  • 1 tbsp sugar
Crunchy muesli mixture
  • 100 g fine whole-grain rolled oats
  • 150 g mixed nuts (e.g. peanuts, hazelnuts and pecan nuts), coarsely chopped
  • 4 tbsp sea buckthorn (spread)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 25 g butter, melted
  • 250 g half-fat quark

Apple sauce
Mix the apples, water, ginger, lime juice, vanilla and sugar in a pan, bring to the boil, cover and cook over a low heat for approx. 20 mins. until soft. Puree the apple mixture and leave to cool.
Crunchy muesli mixture
Mix the nuts, oats, sea buckthorn, butter and salt, spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
To bake
Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
Combine the quark with 4 tbsp of the apple sauce, divide between bowls, top with the remainder of the apple sauce. Sprinkle the muesli on top.
