This is needed
for 9 piece
Dough
- 500 g white flour
- 0.75 tsp salt
- 1 tsp bourbon vanilla powder
- 4 tbsp date syrup
- 0.5 cube yeast (approx. 20 g)
- 40 g butter
- 2.5 dl milk
- 1 egg
To glaze
- 1 tbsp milk
To bake
- a little gold dust (e.g. Betty Bossi glitter spray)

And that's how it's done
Dough
Mix the flour, date syrup, vanilla and salt in a bowl. Crumble in the yeast, mix in.
Melt the butter in a small pan, allow to cool slightly.Add the milk and egg to the dough, knead.Add the butter, knead to form a soft, smooth dough. Cover and leave to rise at room temperature for approx. 1 hr.
To shape
Shape the dough into 9 balls, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper , cover and leave to rise for a further 30 mins.
To glaze
Make a star-shaped incision using scissors, brush the star with milk.
To bake
Approx. 20 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove from the oven, leave the buns to cool on a rack, decorate the stars with gold dust.
