Chocolate and nut biscuits

This is needed

Biscuit dough
- 60 g sugar
- 60 g butter, cut into pieces, cold
- 1 pinch salt
- 125 g white flour
- 50 g pecan nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1 tbsp water
Chocolate
- 100 g dark chocolate, cut into pieces

- One loaf tin (approx. 20 cm), fully lined with baking paper

And that's how it's done
Biscuit dough
Mix the flour, sugar, pecan nuts and salt in a bowl. Add the butter and rub together using your hands to form an even, crumbly mixture. Add the water, mix quickly to form a soft dough, transfer to the prepared tin, press down firmly.
To bake
Approx. 15 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove, allow to cool slightly on a rack, remove from the tin.
Chocolate
Place the chocolate in a thin-sided bowl and suspend over a gently simmering bain-marie, ensuring that the bowl does not touch the water. Melt the chocolate, stir until smooth, pour over the base, chill for approx. 10 mins., cut into 12 triangles.
