To cook the pasta
Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, rinse in cold water, drain, empty into a large bowl.
Mix the diced ham with the pasta and all the other ingredients up to and including the onion, transfer to the prepared dish.
Combine the milk with all the other ingredients up to and including the pepper, pour the sauce over the bake.
Approx. 1 hr. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 200°C.
