French toast and berry skewers

This is needed
for 8 pieces
Egg mixture
- 1.5 dl milk
- 1 fresh egg
- 2 pinches cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
Bread cubes
- 1 tbsp clarified butter
- 2 slices wholegrain bread (approx. 160 g)
Cinnamon sugar
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 0.25 tsp cinnamon
Skewers
- 250 g mixed berries (e.g. strawberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- 8 short wooden skewers

And that's how it's done
Egg mixture
Pour the milk into a deep dish. Crack the egg, add with the cinnamon and salt, mix with a whisk.
Bread cubes
Cut the slices of bread into approx. 3 cm cubes. Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture, leave to soak for approx. 15 mins., turning 2-3 times. Heat the clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the bread cubes over a medium heat for approx. 6 mins. all over, allow to cool slightly.
Cinnamon sugar
Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a deep dish. Toss the bread cubes in the mixture while still warm.
Skewers
Thread the bread cubes and berries alternately onto the skewers.
