Located in the famous province of Demerara, on the east coast of Guyana, Demerara Distillers has been producing sugar and rum for over 300 years and is today the only remaining active distillery of formerly over 200. The distillery is the only one worldwide still using wooden stills.
The El Dorado 15 Years Old Special Reserve from Demerara Distillers has been named the world's best rum four times in a row. It consists of rums that have been aged for at least 15 years, some of them much longer. Near the equator on the tropical north coast of South America, this rum matures into one of the finest rums under ideal natural climatic conditions.
