Old Pulteney comes from the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. The idyllic east coast location of the distillery gives the whisky its special charm and unique aroma. Old Pulteney is known as the Manzanilla of the North. It's uncertain whether this nickname comes from Manzanilla sherry casks or from the salty rough air in the northernmost part of Scotland. All the more so when tasting, you can experience the fresh, slightly salty, full-bodied aroma of this superb whisky, which reminds you of the seaweed.
