Methods of Payment at coop.ch

The following methods of payment can be used for your coop.ch online purchase:
Some payment methods are not available when purchasing special products or depending upon the delivery method chosen. For example, payment by bill is not possible when ordering gift cards, and payment upon delivery is not possible when the postal service delivers your purchase. The payment methods available for your purchase will be shown during the checkout process on the «Payment» page.
When you redeem a voucher or pay with gift cards or Superpoints, you must also select one of the payment methods included above, because in the case of products whose price depends on the weight actually delivered, the exact final amount is not determined until the time of delivery.

Online payment by credit card

You can pay for your purchase with the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Diners Club.
If your order includes products whose price depends on the weight actually delivered, the amount reserved on your credit card will be increased. Your account will only be debited for the value of the goods actually delivered, as specified on the delivery note.
Your security is our top priority. For this reason, 3D Secure technology is used during sensitive transactions such as the purchase of mobile call credit.

TWINT – Mobile Payment

TWINT is Switzerland's digital wallet. Use this payment and shopping app to pay for your purchases easily, quickly and securely with your smartphone.
It’s easy: Install the TWINT app on your smartphone and enter your postal or bank account or your credit card. On coop.ch's «Payment», select «TWINT – Mobile Payment» and open the app. Enter the token shown there, or scan the QR code using your phone camera. More information is available at www.twint.ch.
If your order includes products whose price depends on the weight actually delivered, the amount reserved by TWINT will be increased. Your account will only be debited for the value of the goods actually delivered, as specified on the delivery note.
The TWINT payment method can only be chosen if the delivery date is no more than 6 days in the future.

Payment by PostFinance

With the PostFinance payment method, you can pay simply and conveniently by debiting your postal account. Just enter the your PostFinance card and ID number in the «Payment» after you have sent off your order.
If your order includes products whose price depends on the weight actually delivered, the amount reserved in your postal account will be increased. Your account will only be debited for the value of the goods actually delivered, as specified on the delivery note.

Invoice by email

You can also request to receive an invoice by email, subject to a positive credit rating. The invoice will be sent electronically to the email address you included in your profile, and must be paid within 30 days. If payment is not made within this time, the method “Invoice by email” will no longer be available until the invoice is paid.
Companies and public-law institutions are only eligible for this method of payment after submitting the following application and subsequently received a positive credit rating.

PowerPay monthly invoice

If you select the PowerPay monthly invoice method of payment, a customer account with an overdraft facility is automatically set up for you. An administration fee of CHF 2.40 will be charged for this service.
The annual interest rate for partial payment is 15%. Reminders in the event of late payment are subject to a fee as of the first reminder. For payments made at the post office, the post office fees incurred will be charged to the customer. The bill will be sent mid-month.

Payment on delivery

Payment upon delivery is possible if your order is delivered by a coop.ch driver. You can pay the driver using your Maestro or PostFinance card, with a credit card or in cash.
Coupons and Coop gift cards must be paid for when they are ordered. It is not possible to pay the driver for these items.
Payment upon delivery is also not possible if the order is delivered by a courier service.

Coupons

The field to redeem a coupon is at checkout in the “Payment” section.
Here are some general tips and pointers on the subject of coupons:
  • Please note the expiration date of the coupon.
  • Owing to legal provisions (Alcohol Law), discount coupons (e.g. a 10% discount) are not applicable to purchases of alcoholic beverages.
  • Coupons with an absolute discount amount (e.g., CHF 100 Fust coupon for the purchase of certain electrical appliances) apply to the value of the goods, but not to delivery charges.
  • If the value of the purchase is less than the value of the coupon, the remaining amount is lost.

Gift cards & digital payment card


The field to redeem a gift card or digital payment card can be found under Checkout on the 'Payment’ page. Both digital payment cards and general Coop gift cards can be redeemed (the digital payment card can only be used when logging in with the Supercard ID).
When ordering items whose price depends on the weight actually delivered, a maximum of 80% of the value of the goods may be paid for online using the Coop gift card or digital payment card. An additional payment method must be selected for the remaining amount.

Supercash

At coop.ch you can pay for delivery charges with Superpoints. You also have the option of paying for CoopMobile products or CoopMobile call credit with Superpoints.
Depending on current promotions, you can also always pay for selected products or items from a product range with your Superpoints and save cash! The corresponding products are marked in the shop for the duration of the promotion.
The option to pay with Supercash is at checkout in the “Payment” section.
Supercash can only be used when logging in with the Supercard ID.
