A light yellow robe with hints of green. Lasting effervescence underpins a cordon of fine bubbles. A strong, elegant bouquet dominated by acacia honey leads into smoky notes reminiscent of lemon confit and a mix of peppers. A complex, unctuous palate starts out with a sophisticated and discreet woodiness, which is followed up by a basket of fruits with dominant citrus overtones that is both fresh and vanilla on a very long finish.
A champagne with character exclusively from the Côte des Blancs terroir, and more precisely Mesnil sur Oger (plots of around 60 years old with chalky soil). This champagne, issued from the first cuvées of the Grand Cru du Mesnil sur Oger, reveals the typical character of our village. A true showstopper from Maison Charlemagne, this vintage marries authenticity with the quest for perfection. This cuvée is the result of a rigorous vinification procession, partially in oak barrels without malo-lactic fermentation, with a very light dosage (4g/L). After six years in our chalk cellars, this cuvée is a fine embodiment of all the excellence our Maison seeks to achieve. The sole grape variety, Chardonnay, rounds out the perfect match of balance, harmony and the purity of this Mesnillésime. A rare champagne for unforgettable moments!
