Garnet colour, a spicy cedarwood bouquet that evolves into cardamom and black cherry, classic mature aromas of stewed fruit, a noble and complex palate, ample with superbly soft tannins. A modern Brunello, with good concentration and style; a great vintage.
It is made exclusively from Brunello grapes, a clone of the Sangiovese grape. Still confidential in 1970, its production is now undertaken by over 100 farms. Prescribed minimum storage time is 2 years in barrels and at least 4 months in the bottle. For sale 5 years after harvest, at the earliest.
