Purple colour, a bouquet of sour cherries and raspberries complemented by nuances of violet, round and fresh on the palate, pure juicy fruitiness, without hints of woodiness with few tannins and a fruity finish.
Pico Maccario and his brother Vitaliano are the managers of the eponymous vineyard of 70 hectares, which surrounds the town of Momba ruzzo, in Piedmont. The Pico Maccario emblem is a rose, because the area is covered with more than 4500 red roses (in front of eachrow). The vineyard is planted primarily with Barbera, which in this region, reaches its optimum maturity at between 150 and 300 meters. The hills attain the ideal altitude of 180 meters, which in addition are south facing. The clay soil gives this type of grape avery fleshy, aromatic character.
