Deep, dark ruby red, an intense, full nose of red and dark berries, typical spicy notes of laurel and lavender on the palate, lots of fruit, very little oak, medium tannins, ripe with a diversity of aromas.
The southern Rhone Valley is known for its strong wines, which are often a blend of several grape varieties. Rasteau is an independent commune in Vaucluse, in southern Côtes du Rhône. The municipality name is displayed on the label. The vineyards extend over 750 hectares on calcareous brown, reddish marl and sandstone soil.
