Deep, dark cherry red ? almost black ? with spicy barrique flavours of vanilla, caramel, coconut and cinnamon, the ripe-berry fruitaromas take a back seat. Reveals an attractive concentration on the palate, displaying plenty of finesse despite the high tannin content. Is multilayered and complex with good body and fine spiciness. Refreshing tartness gives elegance, in a long, aromatic finish.
The DO Ribera del Duero region (since 1982) covers a maximum width of 30 km and a distance of approximately 110 km along the Duero.Modern wines of excellent quality are produced in this area, some are very expensive (Vega Sicilia) and cater to the international markets.
