Deep purple colour, a nose that delivers delicate notes of spices and ripe berries, with hints of raisins and vanilla. Powerful with aromas of very ripe fruit on the palate, good tannins, nice balance and well balanced acidity. A long, slightly warm finish.
This wine is vinified from Barbera grapes. Ageing for 12 months in French oak barrels. Asti is a city and a province in the Piedmont region. The Pico Maccario domain produces excellent quality wines from the local Barbera grape. The estate has the largest Barberavines in the region. The wine is characterized by an intense berry and plum bouquet. It is round on the palate and develops a beautiful harmony between tannicity and acidity.
