Ruby colour with a violet hue. Heady red berry fruit on the nose. Good power and structure on the palate; well-integrated oak withpleasant tannins. Forward fruit character in a long finish. A lovely Barbera.
About half of all red wines from Piedmont are from Barbera, a grape that is thought to have originated there. Alba is one of the best Barbera production areas. Barbera is also grown in Lombardy, in Argentina and in the hot Central California Valley.
