The Barbera d'Asti DOC Superiore La Luna e i Falo vintage is produced exclusively from Barbera, red grapes cultivated in the province of Asti's vineyards. To guarantee that the quality grade Superiore is obtained, only grapes grown on vines that are over thirty years old are picked. In addition, the vine yield is naturally controlled. For the Barbera d'Asti, the wine making traditionally lasts fifteen days at a fermentation temperature of 25°C. The wine is then matured for a year in small oak casks before being stored in bottles for six months.
