Dense cherry colour, a bouquet of ripe cherries and blackberries, delicate toasted notes and nuances of tobacco, a medium-bodied palate, pronounced berry aromas, good body, slight spiciness, a wine that can still age.
Owner: GFA Château Belgrave, managed by Dourthe C.V.B.G. Wine-growing municipality of St-Laurent-du-Médoc. After the takeover in 1979, the winery and vineyards were completely refurbished. A lighter Haut Médoc but offers aromas of full fruit, vanilla, spicy oak and powerful tannins. Matured for 15 to 18 months in 50% new oak barrels. Vineyard area: 53 hectares. Average age of the vines: 22 years.
