Full bodied with dark berry and plum flavours and well balanced with complexaromas from French Oak barrels. Grapes for this wine come from 50% 43 year old bush vines and the other 50% from 23 year old trellised vines. A wine with a long lingering finish.
Diemersdal is in the Durbanville wine region, just to the north of Cape Town, at the foot of the Dorstberg, where wine growing conditions are ideal. It is one of the oldest wineries in Durbanville, dating back to 1698, when Cape Governor Simon van der Stel granted farmland to Hendrik Sneewind.
