An intense, illuminated ruby red colour, a bouquet of ripe berries with subtle, delicate nuances of raspberries and strawberries, fresh notes of red berries on the palate, crisp and fruity into the finish.
The Schaffhausen vineyard covers about 500 hectares. The Klettgau accounts for the largest part with 370 hectares, Hallau remainingthe uncontested wine-producing center. The majority of the vineyard area is planted with Pinot Noir. The white grapes are essentially Riesling-Sylvaner and specialties such as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
