Intense dark purple colour, almost black, a very full, aromatic bouquet of cooked berries, very ripe plums, cinnamon and cedar, light fruity sweetness on the palate, pronounced berry flavours, a surge of complex aromas, a balanced structure with grilled barrel notes.
Maturation 15 months in American and French oak barrels. La Bodega was founded by Don Louis Tirasso in 1891, considered to be one of the pioneers of viticulture in Mendoza. Today, Santa Ana is one of the leading wineries in wine export. The vineyard extends over 251 hectares. Mainly Chardonnay and Torrontes for white and Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah for red, are grown.
