Very dark garnet colour, a slightly fragrant bouquet of prunes and licorice, spicy notes as well, reminiscent of dark chocolate, soft and ample on the attack, good tannins, notes of cooked black berries, ripe and harmonious with good persistence into the finish. A great classic.

The Marques Riscal Bodega was founded in 1860 by a Frenchman, which imprinted a lasting character on this wine. The company can rely on an unusually high share - 40% - of grapes from its own production. The higher the quality of the wine (Reservas and Gran Reservas), the higher this proportion is. Aged for 26 months in barrels.
