Dense, dark cherry colour, concentrated nuances of plum and ripe prunes, raisins, sweet fruitiness and juicy on the palate, ripe, spicy notes, compact and soft, tanins that are still youthful underline its structure.
The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Robert Mondavi became independent in 1965.
