Deep, dark cherry red colour, an intense berry nose with blackberry notes, exotic wood, cinnamon accompanied by subtle roasted aromas from maturing in oak barrels, a myriad variety of aromas on the palate; a richly textured wine with well-rounded tannins, pleasant acidity and an abundance of fruitiness. A typical Barossa Shiraz.
The Château Tanunda is located in Barossa Valley, the imposing Geber family headquarters. During its construction in 1888, it was considered to be the largest farming operation in Australia. 40 hectares of the best vines - wine maturation for 18 months in French oak barrels.
