Dark reddish-purple colour, an intense cassis nose with hints of eucalyptus, interesting, strong and broad, with a nice fruity sweetness, nuances of marmalade, very aromatic with a long and rich finish.
Penfolds was founded in 1844 and is now the largest Australian wine trader. Koonunga Hill - is the best known wine from Penfolds. The blend varies from year to year, ranging between 65-75% of Shiraz, significantly higher than the other portion of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is matured for 10 months in French and American barrels.
