Cusumano Jale is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes from only the best climates. It convinces with its density and richness of bouquet, its wonderful amplitude and long finish. Francesco Cusumano founded his company about forty years ago. Winemaker at heart, his faith in Sicilian wine convinced him of the islanders' ability to produce exceptional wines. It was to achieve this goal that he got straight to work. The idea of vintages consumed Cusumano for years, convinced that there is an optimal climate for each grape variety. Cusumano has based his approach on Sicily's diversity. He has traveled the island in search of the regions with the most favourable conditions for each variety. He bought vineyards. The domain includes vineyards in remarkable climates: Partinico, Monreale, Piana degli Albanesi, Alcamo, Salemi, Butera and Pachino. In the 90's, his sons Alberto and Diego entered the family business,whose growth has only accelerated. Cusumano built his cellars to meet all the requirements of modern technology: temperature controll ed stainless steel fermentation tanks, French oak barrels, air-conditioning. Cusumano's wines are among the best produced in Sicily. They have lots of personality and carry their own signature style. They reveal an incredible concentration of fruity notes and capt ivating creaminess only found in southern wines. Manual harvesting in late August and early September. Stalking, cold maceration for 2 days at 7°C to produce an aromatic wine. Fermentation at 26-28°C with frequent pumping to release tannins and skin pigment. Maturing in 20% stainless steel tanks and 80% in 20 hectolitre oak barrels. A round wine, marked by fruitiness and not new wood.
