Matured for 30 months in barrels. The La Gatta domain was created 500 years ago. It used to be a Dominican cloister and then the DeGatti family's (nobles) summer residence, from which it takes its name. It has been the property of the Triacca family of winemakers, since 1969. 45 hectares of vines. 13 hectares, the largest part, are in La Gatta's possession. 10 hectares are of the Sassella appellation, 9 hectares are in Valgella and as much in Tirano, and 4 hectares at Villa di Tirano. The Riserva Triacca is produced fromonly the best selection of the ripest grapes. In general, they are also harvested later than the other grape clusters. A Riserva must mature for 4 years in barrels.
