Pleasantly spicy scent of cloves, very ripe red cherries and black chocolate. A soft, juicy wine, richly structured aromas and an elegant body, long at the finish, with good, delicate tannins. A wine that could benefit from ageing.
Trerose - is one of the largest producers of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The wine's origin dates back to 1300. The name Nobile could stem from the fact that it was usually the noble families of the region of Montepulciano who took on the production of this wine. It is made from a blend of Sangiovese, locally called Prugnolo Gentile (min. 70%), Canaiolo Nero (max. 10%) and sometimes other varieties allowed in the area (max. 20%). Prescribed storage is 2 years, the Riserva appellation can be given after 3 years.
