Beautiful, dense cherry red colour, an anthology of fruit and spices, nuances of blackberry and cinnamon, hints of toasted with dark chocolate and coffee notes, fleshy in the mouth, ample fruit, good body, well balanced with good structure, supple tannins with apersistent aromatic range of fruitiness; very pleasant into the finish.
Founded by brothers Frederick and Jacob Beringer, in 1876. It is the oldest winery in Napa Valley that is still in operation. The wine mainly comes from the Central Coast region with its Monterey and Paso Robles appellations. This valley is separated from the Pacific by a chain of mountains, the Santa Lucia Range, that takes advantage of the cool sea breeze blowing in from Monterey Bay that is open to the sea.
