An intense ruby red colour, a delicately fruity bouquet, soft palate with berry accents, sweet and fruity in the mouth, a very pleasant wine with a long, slightly bitter finish.
The Zurich and Rheinau cellars date back to a tradition that started four to five hundred years ago. In Rheinau, viticulture is even more than 1000 years old. In 1862, there is a merger of the Rheinau cellar and the hospital (Spitalkellerei), which becomes the Staatskeller. In 1997, the State Cellar is privatized and taken over by Mövenpick.
