The Cave des Coteaux was founded in 1949. In 2002, the winery located in Cortaillod is left behind in favour of a new modern winery established in Areuse. In Cortaillod, the Domaine Vin du Diable with its steep slopes is the 7 hectare vineyard which is the heart of the Cave des Coteaux production. The Cave des Coteaux buys and vinifies the product of an additional 50 hectares of vines; rigor and friendship are the hallmarks of the long relationship that links the Cave des Coteaux with its artisan winemakers. Since 2002, the Cave des Coteaux has committed to an ambitious investment program that will allow them to reap the Pinot Noir's full potential. The first awards show that the path that Janine Schaer, technical manager of the cellar, has chosen is a captivating one.
