In Valle Talloria in Diano d'Alba, the Giordano family has been producing a wide selection of classic wines since 1900. The companywas founded by Ferdinando Giordano, grandfather of the current president of the company, and then taken over later by his son Giovanni. In the early 1950's, thanks to Giuseppe's entrepreneurial spirit and Ferdinando Giordano (respectively Giovanni's brother and son), a small family business turned into a dynamic operation and product quality improved considerably. The concept, which is to expand direct sales to private customers in new innovative ways by using marketing such as direct mail and distance selling, turns out to be a great success. In recent years, the company has grown tremendously: its position in the domestic market has consolidated andexport capabilities have increased considerably. In addition, the introduction of wines from other regions inItaly has extended their current range of wines already proposed. Today, a leader in direct wine sales, Giordano's company is among the largest wine producers in Italy. Despite its growth, the company has retained the charm of a family business. In a century, four generations have been constantly pursuing the same goal: preserving the tradition and philosophy of the company while ensuring customer satisfaction.
