Auggen Winemakers Cooperative. 400 wine-growers cultivate 280 hectares of vines according to the ecological viticulture regulations in effect. The Auggen areas that are known are Schaf and Letten. Covering an area of ??180 hectares, the Schaf, named after its white limestone soil, delivers a fresh Gutedel first and then a fruity Müller-Thurgau. On Lettens 60 hectares, a steep south-facing terrain with heavy soil and fertile vineyards are thriving with generously planted Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), that produce round, voluminous wines. Late harvest - should be harvested later than the main harvest. The minimum weight of the must should be between 85 and 90 Oechlsé.
