Pale yellow with green hues, a very floral nose reminiscent of roses andcitrus flowers, delicate and fruity on the palate, a freshfeeling with very good balance, a fine acid structure with an agreable complexity of spicy aromas; good value for money.
Family business - John Geber's vineyards are extremely well located. However, the vines are 1,600 km apart from each other, across Australia, in short. The white wines made from Chardonnay grapes are on vines that are planted west of Sydney near the small town ofCowra. Gerber's own red wine is a blend of Cabernet and Shiraz from grapes grown in the Barossa Valley. This is also where the family's property is located, Chateau Tanunda, where most of the wines are pressed, fermented, stored in the cellar and stocked, in 12,000 French and American oak barrels.
