Pale yellow colour, a very aromatic nose with citrus notes, a typical Riesling-Sylvaner fruitiness with hints of nutmeg, supple andfresh on the palate, bubbly, well balanced, with an aromatic range that is typical of the variety. A very good wine, good company for appetizers.
The most recent findings indicate that the Riesling-Silvaner appellation printed on the bottle label is false. Genetic studies haveshown that the cross was actually made from Riesling and Chasselas (more precisely: Royal Madeleine). But the law allows the old appellation's continued use.
