Gérard Bertrand is the chameleon of the wine growers in the south of France. With his three domains, L'Hospitalet, the Villemajou and the Laville Bertrou, he is at the forefront of the appellations. The zones that do not meet the AC (Appellation Controlée) conditions can be called VDQS (Wines Defined as Superior Quality), this group is disappearing, gradually being replaced by the Vins de Pays, very successful and interesting wines.
