Golden yellow in colour. Aromas reminiscent of peaches and honey (typical botrytis bouquet). Wonderfully full mouthfeel, creamy and buttery, packed with dried apricots and spicy notes, nutmeg. Very good balance between fruit, acidity and sweetness. Well-structured, very harmonious dessert wine.
The grapes are from the Castello della Sala estate, grown on vineyards ranging from 200 to 400 metres above sea level. Morning mist makes the grapes more susceptible to Botrytis cinerea (noble rot). This reduces the water content of the grapes, resulting in more concentrated flavours. After being gently pressed, the must is fermented in steel tanks for around 20 days. The sweet young wine is then aged in barriques.
