Baron de Hoen

If you had to choose the ideal geographic location for Beblenheim, it would be hard to find a better place than where it is right now. This charming village offers a typically Alsatian ambiance that Hansi’s paintings portray so well, with pretty half-timbered houses, arched gateways bearing coats of arms, a beautiful Gothic fountain dating from the 15th century, and more besides.
In this small village that epitomizes Alsace, the craft of winemaking is passed down from generation to generation, and the wine-producing skills and expertise have been guarded very carefully over the years.
Located on the Wine Route, in the heart of the Alsace wine region, the company Baron de Hoen welcomes you to the castle of the noble Hoen de Dillenbourg family, built in the 14th century. The small village of Beblenheim enjoys an outstanding reputation thanks to its soil structure, its steep slopes and its exceptional sun exposure.
Our wine growers cultivate a number of vineyards, enabling us to offer a wide selection of varietal wines. Whether you prefer your wine to be dry or sweet, fruity or minerally, there’s bound to be something for you, especially in our Baron de Hoen range.
Since 1952, wine growers have tended the vineyards in and around Beblenheim, bringing out their full potential. The craft of winemaking has been passed down from generation to generation. Nowadays, ancient techniques are combined with modern methods and a deep respect for the vines in order to produce grapes of the highest quality.
High standards and premium quality are paramount. «We have established a charter with the aim of leveraging the full potential of the terroir and its elegant vintages while protecting the environment.»
Today more than ever, the Cave de Beblenheim is committed to an environmentally responsible approach to support biodiversity, respect for nature and the terroir itself.
