The profession is very much in his blood. Even today, more than 40 years on, he gives his heart and soul to both his work in the vineyards and the cellar, never more so than when new ideas are needed.
Over 40 years ago, Marion Barth, a native of Hallgarten, met the vintner Norbert Barth. Since then, she has been heavily involved with the business, working in the office and in sales.
Having obtained a degree in business economics, son-in-law Mark Barth successfully studied Viticulture and Enology in Geisenheim. Together with Christine Barth, he is now the fourth generation and is bursting with new ideas and drive. He gained his practical knowledge at Schloss Vollrads and added to this experience with three internships abroad.
Like her husband Mark, Norbert Barth's youngest daughter is firmly integrated into the family business. She successfully completed the International Wine Business degree programme in Geisenheim, followed by three intensive years at the world-renowned Californian Gallo estate and at a South African winery, where she focused on marketing.
