Cantina Vecchia Torre

The history of Cantina Vecchia Torre began in Leverano – a community in the heart of the Salento region – in 1959.
The winegrowers' cooperative produces varieties such as Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera di Lecce.
Cantina Vecchia Torre was founded in 1959. Over time, the 1200-plus members have, through their own work and passion, helped make Vecchia Torre one of the largest wineries in Apulia with a reputation for selecting the best grapes and respecting tradition while also using the latest vinification techniques.
Cantina Vecchia Torre favours native grape varieties but also experiments with international ones and has advanced to become a global ambassador for the Salento region.
Vecchia Torre Cellar
The unique climatic and geological situation of the Leverano terroir has always been a key factor in producing high-quality vintages, and Cantina VECCHIA TORRE's wines are known and appreciated around the world.
The professional approach to selecting the grapes and the strict respect for ancient traditions, in addition to the use of modern vinification techniques, guarantee the quality that Cantina Vecchia Torre offers its customers.
Thanks to the judicious use of native grape varieties and a bold and yet prudent selection of international varieties, the VECCHIA TORRE wines have become proud ambassadors of the Salento region on tables throughout the world.
Black grapes are used most widely: Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia Nera di Lecce, alongside international varieties such as Syrah and Montepulciano.
The white grapes are mainly Malvasia Bianca, Chardonnay and Vermentino, which adapts perfectly to the microclimate of the Salento region.
