Bodegas Acústic Celler was founded by the young, self-employed vintner Albert Jané. The winery's name says it all: Jané wants to produce "acoustic" wines that claim and seek the value and the roots of traditional winegrowing. His fine wines full of personality and soul are the opposite of those that appeal at first glance with their appearance but that taste merely bland on the second sip. To produce characterful wines packed with personality, Jané had to hunt for the right vineyards. Today, the winery covers an area of roughly 55 hectares, some of which are home to ancient vines. These are the Garnacha, Carignan, Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo varieties. The soils in Montsant are similar to those in the famous neighbouring area of Priorat, where slate subsoils produce exciting mineral wines. The wines from Acústic Celler also stand out for their depth and mineral character.
