Les Celliers de Sion

In 1992, the long-established cellars Bonvin and Varone joined together. Among other things they began producing the new Bibacchus collection of Valais specialities.
Les Celliers de Sion have a long history and represent the diversity of Valais winegrowing.
Valais is a true treasure chest of long-established grape varieties. With their "Bibacchus" collection, the Celliers de Sion have set themselves the goal of producing wines that authentically represent the individual character of these high quality varieties, offering single varietals produced from Petite Arvine, Amigne, Heida, Marsanne, Malvoisie, Muscat, Johannisberg, Humagne Blanche, Humagne Rouge, Cornalin and Syrah. Thus the "Bibacchus" collection represents the diversity of Valais winegrowing to the full.
Bonvin and Varone are also working hard to complete their "Celliers de Sion" project: they have had a joint wine-tasting centre for some time already, and now they are building a shared cellar at the foot of the Clavau vineyard.
